Soddy Daisy is four games into its season, but it hasn’t met anyone harder than the team challenging it next. It and Knoxville Catholic take on one another this Friday at 7:30 PM on Soddy Daisy’s home turf. Both teams enjoyed a wide margin in their previous games.
Soddy Daisy dominated last week, steamrollering Hixson 49 – 13. Soddy Daisy had two big standouts, as Ty Boeck picked up 55 yards on the ground, while Gavin Chambers threw for 152 yards. Boeck has been the ringleader for Soddy Daisy this season three times now.
Meanwhile, Knoxville Catholic brought some tenacious defense (the best it has had all year) into its match last week. It breezed past Cleveland last week with a final score of 33 – 7. Knoxville Catholic’s offense might have been extra motivated to turn things around after difficulties scoring in its previous game.
Their wins bumped Soddy Daisy to 3-1 and Knoxville Catholic to 2-2. While both teams are coming off of wins, only one will triumph this week. We’ll find out soon enough who that will be.
